Hello, I’m Chris Molloy, MD of Sumetria Ltd. I provide the interim management, contract and consulting services which are available through this limited company.
Since company formation I have been immersed in digital, eCommerce and IT. More recently I’ve been focused the strategy, delivery or optimisation of large scale and public facing internet products and services. I spent most of my early career in mainstream IT working (client side and supplier side) on bespoke and enterprise applications and products, switching my focus to the web in the late 90’s.
I am an experienced senior manager, former CTO and COO of an internet services start-up with a professional IT background. I have a track record of delivering change programmes in a blended online/offline world without compromising BAU, utilising effective governance and controls across agile delivery cycles.

I have been privileged to have worked with some great domestic and global brands, world class design agencies and industry leading service providers and systems integrators. Together with employers, clients and suppliers, we have designed, constructed and launched industry leading digital and eCommerce solutions that have helped keep our client’s ahead of competitors in each of their business sectors, from the BBC iPlayer and BBC2 website online applications including Dr Who , Spooks and online streaming services, to commercial websites for Five TV, DHL, BAA (British Airport Authorities) and more recently Sony Entertainment, The AA (Automobile Association), and Saga Services. I have been retained by global blue-chip and Fortune 500 companies to look after eCommerce strategy, digital strategy and mobile strategy (as an interim manager) and IT strategy (as an employee in my last permanent role). I have delivered strategy that promoted early adoption of technology to provide market leadership including (1) one of UK’s first mobile VPNs established across a 2.5G mobile network, and (2) RFID, an enabler for big-data and internet of things. I use my technical and broad business experience across multiple sectors to lead and manage the design, build and delivery of online products and services, including customer portals and state-of-the-art eCommerce and interactive services, fully integrated with the business and operations. More recent assignments have included mobile applications, mobile optimized websites, social media leading to social commerce, SEO all linked to and supported by online search and internet marketing. Skills and experience in website optimisation and online performance management have become key differentiators as good leadership on these activities increases the likelihood that web/mobile investment pays back and ROI is achieved.
